Welcome to worship!

We are glad that you are worshiping with us today. Please use the worship video below, along with the attached scripture, prayers, and reflection questions to deepen your experience.

Activities for families can be found here!

As a part of worship this morning, we will be celebrating the sacrament of Holy Communion. If you do not have those particular elements, we trust that God shows up in whatever you have in your home!

One of the implications of not having worship in person is that our regular offering will not be collected. We encourage all who are able to support the mission and ministry of the church through on-line giving or mailing offering to the church to do so.  https://www.stmichaelselca.com/giving-methods.html Your generosity allows us to continue to care for those in need, support our staff, and ensure we are able to resume all programs quickly and efficiently. Knowing that our income will be impacted, we encourage those with extra resources to consider a special gift.

One of the implications of not having in-person worship is a decrease in financial support. Your gift help us continue the ministry of St. Michael's during this time. Consider making a donation today - you can mail a gift to our church office or make a gift online. No gift is too small - together, our gifts have a tremendous impact!

Easter Worship

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Today we celebrate Christ's victory over death. While this Easter certainly is different than previous years and we wish we could celebrate this Holy day in person, we remember that the first Easter was a small, quiet gathering. However you gather this day, may you trust that God meets you where ever you are.

We are glad you are worshiping with us  for this Easter celebration.

Your financial gifts allow us to continue our ministries during this uncertain time.
Consider making a special Easter gift today!

On this day we recall the death of Jesus. Through the Gospel of Matthew’s account, we will focus on seven moments during Jesus’ final day. At the end of each reading we will extinguish a candle to mark the lament of this service. If you have 7 candles at home  we welcome you to join us in this practice.

If you would like to follow along with the readings, you can find them posted directly under the embedded YouTube video.

Maundy Thursday Worship Service

We are glad you are joining us for this online worship experience!

To fully engage with worship today, we invite you to watch or listen to the worship service video posted below. You can follow along with the scripture passages and prayers through the provided links located under the video. We hope you use the reflection questions for continued engagement with today's worship. Faith formation activities are available here!

Maundy Thursday is the day on which we remember Jesus’ final night with his disciples prior to his betrayal and arrest. The name "Maundy" comes from the Latin word mandatum, which means mandate, or command. On Maundy Thursday we reflect on the mandatum nova — the new command:  “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.   By this everyone will know that you are my disciples,  if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)

Jesus gives this command during the Lord’s Supper, just after washing the disciples’ feet and declaring to them that they are to follow his example in serving one another.
