Worship at St. Michael's

Worship Schedule During the Program Year (Sept. 14, 2025 - May 13, 2026)
10:00 a.m.  on Sundays in the Sanctuary
​6:10 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Courtyard Room


Worship Schedule During the Summer (May 17 - August 30, 2026)
10:00 a.m. on Sundays in the Sanctuary
7:00 p.m. on Mondays in the Courtyard room (Summer Monday worship begins on June 1)

What to Expect on Sundays:
  • Worship is held in the Sanctuary on Sundays
  • When you enter the Sanctuary, an usher will greet you with a bulletin for you to use during worship - Ushers are volunteers who are there to help you with any questions you may have! 
  • Large print bulletins are available by request
  • There are spaces in the Sanctuary designed for those in wheel chairs or who need extra space in the pews
  • Hearing assist devices are available in the Sanctuary
  • ASL Interpretation is offered regularly in worship. Please contact the church office for the ASL schedule or to request interpretation
  • Holy Communion is celebrated on Sundays. We welcome all people to communion! Gluten-free wafers are available as well as non-alcoholic wine
  • We welcome the Holy Hum of children during worship! Worship activity bags are available for children to use in the pews
  • The Prayground is a space for children to engage in meaningful activities during worship, using soft toys, coloring, books, etc.  Children should be accompanied in the Prayground by at least one adult
  • The nursery is staffed and available for children ages 3 and under
  • Offering is received in worship -  we share our gifts of time, treasures, and talents trusting that God is "able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to God's power that is at work within us!" (Ephesians3:20 )
  • Face masks are available for those who would like them or need them
  • ​Online worship is available here​

What to Expect on Wednesdays:
  • Wednesday Evening Prayer will be held in the Courtyard Room
  • An usher will greet you with a bulletin for you to use during worship
  • Evening Prayer is a shorter worship service, about 30 minutes long
  • Evening Prayer will utilize various musical liturgies supported by different instruments. For example, some weeks will be contemplative, other weeks will feature global music, etc.
  • Holy Communion will be celebrated seasonally

  • We welcome children in worship!​

Recipe for Communion Bread

From Luther Seminary
A.  Sift dry ingredients 3 times:
                2 cups whole wheat flour
               1 cup white flour
               1 & 1/4 heaping teaspoon baking powder
               1 & 1/4 teaspoon salt
B . Cut in oil:  1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon oil
C. Mix water & sweetener.  Add & mix well.
               3/4 cup + 2 Tablespoons very hot water
               3 Tablespoons honey
              3 Tablespoons molasses
D. Dough should be sticky
E. Divide and roll 1/4 inch thick circles
F. Mark with cross
G. Bake at 350o for 10 minutes
H.  Remove and brush with oil
I  . Bake an additional 5—8 minutes more at 350o
J.   Cool
Yields approximately 4 loaves 8” round
Hint from experienced bakers:  knead dough and then let it rest before rolling.  Each batch makes four loaves.
