Caring Ministries
In Need of Pastoral Care?
St. Michael’s seeks to provide authentic care in times of joy and during times of difficulty, sorrow, and loss. If you are looking to be connected to one of the pastors for a visit or on-going pastoral care, please contact the church office at 651-631-1510.
Hospitalization
The Pastoral Care Team values providing you with spiritual care, prayer and presence. Hospitals do not notify churches when their members are admitted. If you or a loved one are hospitalized, please contact the church office and the administrator will connect you with one of our pastors.
Home Visits
The Pastoral Care Team is available to visit, support, and bring Communion to members who for health reasons are unable to attend worship. Please contact the church office if you would like to request a visit.
Befrienders Ministries
The Befrienders is a team of St. Michael’s volunteers who provide prayer and support throughout all of life's ups and downs. If you’d like to learn more about Befrienders Ministry please contact the church office.
Birth or Adoption of a Child
If you are expecting a baby in the near future, please let us know. We want to make sure that new parents, whether through birth, adoption, or foster care, feel the love and support of our faith community. We do this through a variety of ways:
Growing Through Loss – Support for Those Experiencing Loss in Their Lives
Growing Through Loss is a grief and loss support ministry jointly sponsored by the North Suburban Grief Support Coalition, of which 18 churches and organizations in our area are members. The coalition hosts two, six-week series each year at various locations that address both the educational aspects as well as the support needs around a variety of loss and grief issues. More information is available on their website (http://growingthroughloss.org/) or by contacting the church office.

If you are expecting a baby in the near future, please let us know. We want to make sure that new parents, whether through birth, adoption, or foster care, feel the love and support of our faith community. We do this through a variety of ways:
- Pastoral care visit in hospital or home for a blessing
- Meal ministry: fresh or freezer meals for your family during this time of transition
- Prayer during worship: prayers are offered during worship and after the birth/adoption, a flower is placed on the altar in honor of your child.
