Lent 2024

On Repentance and Repair: Making Amends in an Unapologetic World

Lent is a season for us to draw closer to God, beginning when we are marked with the sign of the cross on Ash Wednesday, hearing the call to repent. But what does repentance truly mean?

We will ask this question together as we reflect on Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg’s book, “On Repentance and Repair: Making Amends in an Unapologetic World.” On Wednesdays we will gather for worship using Holden Evening Prayer and reflections from the book. We will also welcome special guest musicians each Wednesday!

You are encouraged to read along and reflect with a small group or to read the book on your own. Small group sign-ups are available online here or on the bulletin board outside of the church office. (Sign up before February 14th!) Books are available at your local library, or favorite bookstore (also available as an audio book/e-readers!)  Book discussion guides are linked below or available for pick up in the church office.
