St. Michael’s has active ministries with partners across the globe! Guatemala Companion Church St. Michael’s is a companion church to Iglesia Luterana Agustina La Santa Cruz de la Esperanza (Holy Cross of Hope Luthern Church) in Cimiento, Guatemala since 2009. In spite of the miles between our two churches, we are connected through prayer, frequent updates, trips to the village, and financial support. Global Health Ministries On the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, a group of volunteers go to Global Health Ministries to pack medical supplies that will be distributed around the world. To learn more or join this team of volunteers, call the church office at 651-631-1510! Families and youth are welcome to serve! Micro-lending St. Michael’s partners with Kiva to identify potential entrepreneurs around the globe and provides loans to help them reach self-sufficiency. ELCA Disaster Relief and Hunger Appeal Because of the generosity of St. Michael’s members and friends, we are able to provide substantial financial support when disasters take place in the United States or around the world. Members may provide this support through their annual pledge or special gifts designated to Disaster Relief or Hunger Appeal. |
