September 17 | God’s Work Our Hands Day and BBQ
Join us for a congregational wide day of service! There will be service projects for families of all ages followed by our annual BBQ. The Roseville Big Band will provide entertainment and Martin Luther’s Root Beer Garden will be open for kids! BBQ at 4:30 pm, service projects begin at 2:00 pm. Location: Fellowship Hall
September 24 | Bonfire and Night Games
Don’t miss a night around the fire! We will roast hot dogs, s'mores, and play night games. Bring your own beverage and a snack to share! 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm Location: Patio outside the Fellowship Hall.
November 10-11 | Moonlight Madness
7th-9th graders are invited to this special all night event! Don’t miss this “lock out” for youth across the Twin Cities. Last year we played laser tag, volleyball, basketball, went swimming, ice skating, and even went to the movie theatre. Cost: TBD More information will be available on the youth bulletin board and on the church website.
January 27-28 | Slumber Party: Youth Leadership
Youth leaders are needed for the 3rd-5th grade slumber party. Youth leaders will help lead games, snacks, and service projects. For more information on becoming a youth leader for the slumber party, contact Pastor Ali!
February 3 | Family Day at Feed My Starving Children
Families are encouraged to join us at the Coon Rapids location of Feed My Starving Children for a morning of service! Together we will package meals that will be sent to hungry people all over the world. We will meet at Feed My Starving Children at 9:00 am and serve until 11:00 am. Bring the whole family! February 23-25 | Urban Immersion
Middle School and Senior High Students are invited for a special weekend of service learning in Minneapolis. We will stay at the Greater Council of Churches retreat center and complete service projects across the Twin Cities. Youth will learn about poverty, homelessness, and how to be advocates and leaders among their peers. Cost: TBD. Registration will be available on the church bulletin board or the church website. Adult chaperones needed!
April 14 | Interfaith Bridge Building at Augsburg College
Come to Augsburg College and our neighborhood and explore how interfaith friendships enrich our lives. What in the cross of Jesus Christ leads us to one another? Experience interfaith service learning by understanding sacred texts, sacred spaces including a local mosques, and interfaith dialogue with religiously diverse college students. 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Meet at Augsburg College. Cost: $20.00
July 8-13 | Summer Camp
While the early bird rate has passed, you can still register online at www.luthercrest.org by creating an account. Completing grades 6-8 register as “Wet & Wilderness”. Price is $350. St. Michael’s provides transportation to LutherCrest on July 8.
August 12-16 | Day Camp / VBS
In April, registration available to print off online, and is available on the counter in the church office. Day Camp facilitated by LutherCrest camp. We will need adult volunteers to help with camp snacks and meals for LutherCrest staff. We need student leaders to help run day camp programming. Student and adult leaders are free.
