September 17 | God’s Work Our Hands Day and BBQ
Join us for a congregational wide day of service! There will be service projects for families of all ages followed by our annual BBQ. The Roseville Big Band will provide entertainment, the Roseville Fire Department Fire Truck will be making an appearance, and Martin Luther’s Root Beer Garden will be open for kids! BBQ at 4:30 pm, service projects begin at 2:00 pm. Location: Fellowship Hall
October 1 | 3rd Grade Family Bible Workshop
3rd graders and their families are invited to join us for an afternoon of exploring the new Bibles the youth will be given in worship on October 8th. Children who are in older grades but have not yet received a Bible are encouraged to attend! 12:30 pm -2:30 pm Fellowship Hall.
October 8 | Bible Sunday
3 grade students will receive their Bibles in worship! More information on this worship service will be available later in fall.
November 17 | Parent’s Night Out: Thanksgiving Blast!
Parents, enjoy a night out while your 1st - 5th graders party at a night of Thanksgiving festivities! We will have thanksgiving themed games, snacks, and movies! This event is FREE! 6:00-8:30 pm Location: Fellowship Hall.
December 3 | Christmas Cookie Spectacular!
Youth will spend the afternoon baking Christmas cookies for members in the community, remembering the true reason for the season: the love of God for humanity! We will taste our delicious creations while learning about the importance of caring for others. Lunch will be served! 12:30pm - 3:00 pm. Location: Fellowship Hall.
January 27-28 | Slumber Party
Pack your sleeping bag and get ready for a night of fun! 3rd-5th graders will spend the night at church playing games, completing a service project, doing crafts, watching movies... and then the next morning we will worship at the 8:45 service in our pajamas! Youth will be encouraged to attend Sunday School after worship. 7:00 pm Friday- 10:00 am Location: Fellowship Hall Cost: $5
February 3 | Family Day at Feed My Starving Children
Families are encouraged to join us at the Coon Rapids location of Feed My Starving Children for a morning of service! Together we will package meals that will be sent to hungry people all over the world. We will meet at Feed My Starving Children at 9:00 am and serve until 11:00 am. Bring the whole family! March 18 | Family Communion Class
Together, families will learn about the sacrament of Holy Communion through games, baking bread, and experiencing communion! There will be time for families to learn together and for adults to bring their own questions and wonderings while the children play. All families are welcome, even if you’ve taken a communion class in the past! 12:30-2:30pm Location: Fellowship Hall
May 6 | Family Park Play Day
1-5th Graders and their families are invited to celebrate the coming of spring with a day at the park! We will meet at a Twin Cities park and spend the afternoon playing together! St. Michael’s will provide beverages and snacks. 2:00pm - 4:00 pm. Park Location: TBD
July 8-13 | Summer Camp
While the early bird rate has passed, you can still register online at www.luthercrest.org by creating an account. Completing grades 3-5 register as “Leapers. Price is $350. St. Michael’s provides transportation to LutherCrest on July 8.
August 12-16 | Day Camp / VBS
In April, registration available to print off online, and is available on the counter in the church office. Day Camp facilitated by LutherCrest camp. We will need adult volunteers to help with camp snacks and meals for LutherCrest staff. PreK-5th grade prices for half-day are $45 and full-day are $85. Scholarships available. Student and adult leaders are free. Register by April 30 for early bird $10 discount.
