Nursery care is available for young children during Sunday worship services and the education hour. The nursery is staffed by a supervisor and attendant. There is a changing table and bathroom located inside the nursery as well.
During the summer our regular nursery is closed and a "summer nursery" is set-up and provided in the "Children's Library" in the back of the sanctuary.
Sunday School Classes for all ages are held from mid-September to mid-May between worship services during the Education Hour from 10:00 - 10:50 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
Birth - 2 Years use the Frolic curriculum, God’s Playgroup to strengthen parent-child relationships, support faith formation and build community among parents. This is a drop-in play group during the Education Hour at 10 am. We encourage you to come as often as you can!
3 Years - Kindergarten are invited to come and meet God while playing, singing, and enjoying the company of others! Through the Deep Blue curriculum they will discover what the Bible teaches us about families while relating with Bible characters and seeing themselves in the Bible story!
3 Years - Kindergarten will sing the pre-service music on:
November 18 and April 28
1st -5th Grades explore the lives of people in the Bible and the adventures they have following God! Each Sunday students rotate through workshop stations guided by shepherd volunteer leaders. Rotational learning builds on the advantages of repetition. The more and different ways children explore a story or concept, the more it is reinforced in their memories. Around these spaces children will engage in learning that promotes critical thinking skills. Each month children will also support a community-based or global issue connected to the Bible stories they are learning. The students work on solutions and will share their experience with the community.
6th - 7th Grades dive into Scripture in order to share in the stories of faith, grow in Biblical literacy, and build their relationship with God and each other more profoundly. This year 6th - 7th grades learn and go deeper in Here We Stand: Old Testament.
8th - 9th Grades: Sunday Morning Confirmation
10th - 12th Grades: Senior High Sunday Mornings
Adults: Religion in Life
Sunday School will resume in September, until then worship as a family this summer:
Sunday Mornings | 10 am
This summer we will close the regular nursery, and set-up a “summer nursery” in the Children’s Library at the back of the Sanctuary for Sundays.
We will also experiment with Pray-Ground space for ages 3-9 in the back of the Sanctuary. Pray-Ground is a space designed for parents to sit near their children without worrying about keeping children "still" during worship. As we welcome children as integral participants in worship, we welcome the sounds and activity that accompany them. We encourage children to be supervised by parents while in the pray-ground, except during the sermon when volunteers, called Faith Friends, help kids more fully experience the worship service in age-appropriate ways by focusing their energy on quiet activities connected to the scripture used in the sermon.
Monday Nights | 7 pm
This interactive and diverse worship experience meets in the Courtyard Room. The casual and shorter worship service ends at 7:45 pm and includes communion. It will also have a designated Pray-Ground space for ages 3-9 (see above) which will expand to include direct ways kids can participate in the worship service.
Following the last Monday of each month, your family is invited to be part of the community eating and gathering in the Courtyard for:
